Lighting work is where most homeowners first meet an electrician: a fixture that needs a box behind it, a room that's never had enough light, a ceiling fan where a light used to be. We do that work, and we do the commercial version of it: converting shops and offices off fluorescent tubes and onto LED.

Fluorescent to LED for shops and offices
If your shop or store is still running fluorescent tubes, converting to LED cuts the power bill, ends the ballast replacements, and gets rid of the flicker. We recently converted a local dealership's mechanic shop from old T8 fixtures to 15 LED high-bays, and we've switched office ceilings over to LED panels, one of them close to 30 fixtures. We handle conversions for retail, offices, and warehouses along with the rest of our commercial work. Depending on the fixture, that's either new LED fixtures or a retrofit that bypasses the ballast.
How it goes
- Tell us the room and the fixture. Photos help. If you already bought the fixture, tell us the model.
- Free estimate. For anything past a simple swap, we look at the ceiling, the box, and the circuit first.
- Install. Most residential lighting is a single visit. Commercial conversions are scheduled around your hours.
- Cleanup. We leave the room the way we found it, or a little better.
Pricing
Estimates are free. If the visit involves troubleshooting (a fixture that won't work, a switch that does nothing), the $135 minimum applies and gets credited to the job. Lighting is quoted per project.
