Wired For Life.

The short version of who you're hiring

Matt Adkins has been in the electrical trade since 1990. He spent some years on the corporate side, missed the work, and opened Square One Electric in Bartlett in 2022. He's a master electrician, and he still runs the jobs.

Three things we do that customers mention in reviews more than anything else:

  • We tell you when you don't need the work. If moving your panel won't help, we'll say so, even when it means a smaller ticket.
  • We show up when we said we would. Phones are answered weekdays 8:00 to 4:30, and we schedule in real windows, not "sometime Thursday."
  • We clean up. Electricians have a reputation for leaving a mess. We aim to leave a site slightly better than we found it.

Every job carries a one-year parts and workmanship warranty, and estimates are free.

Tesla Certified. ChargePoint Certified. Wired for whatever you drive.

Square One Electric is a Tesla Certified Installer listed on Tesla's installer locator, and a ChargePoint Certified Installer. We put in Wall Connectors, ChargePoint units, and Level 2 chargers for J1772 vehicles across Shelby County.

Here's how an install usually goes. We pull the electrical permit, run a load calculation and send it to MLGW, and schedule the install. Most take one day. We'd like you home at the end so the charger connects to your Wi-Fi before we leave. Labor and materials typically run $700 to $1,200 when you supply the unit; longer runs and panel work add to that.
